Launched in 2012, APYDCON is an online professional development event that leverages technology to share best practices and connect with youth development professionals, practitioners, and community leaders working on youth issues around the world.
The online conference consists of four webinars accessible only by the conference attendees. In addition, attendees will have access to networking sessions, giveaways, and a virtual exhibit hall. After the event, we will email you certificates of completion showing the workshop topics and 4 hours of participation. Check with your school district or employer in advance to ensure that professional development credit is accepted.
Since the conference is taking place on Zoom, you can participate from anywhere on your computer, mobile phone, or tablet. Access links will be emailed one hour before the start of the event. Register once to attend all sessions or as many as your schedule permits!
This two-day online conference consists of best practices presentations with breakout activities, networking sessions, and a panel discussion. Each session is one hour long.
DAY 1: ADDRESSING RACIAL TRAUMA, AND MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE
DAY 2: SUPPORTING UNDOCUMENTED YOUTH, AND PROMOTING CIVIC ENGAGEMENT
Workshops are a chance to gain best practices tools from experts. Presenters will share strategies that youth development professionals can implement in their community and programs.
Share and connect with speakers, exhibitors, and other participants in our networking sessions, and on social media through the conference hashtag #APYDCON.
Attendees will be randomly selected during the conference to win tote bags, mugs, and other goodies related to this year's topics. Winners will be announced at the event.
Registering for APYDCON provides an automatic APYD Membership that grants access to online training courses, monthly newsletters, and more networking and learning events.
Tickets start at $15 and all proceeds are invested back into our work, allowing us to increase knowledge and collaboration in the youth and nonprofit sectors. Help us continue to raise awareness by registering today!
The Virtual Exhibit Hall allows organizations, companies, and providers to share their programs, products, or services in our online space accessible by conference attendees for one year. In addition, exhibitors have the opportunity to video chat with conference attendees during the Networking/Meet Exhibitors Breakout session of the conference.
